Home made Hydroplane race boat . Designed in 1954. Motor is a 1954 Mercury Mark 20H outboard. This home built boat was Built using ClarkCraft plans. The pictures show the build in two places. It was started a the shop, but moved it home to finish the project. The boat is a class B hydroplane and is 10″.

That is a beautiful hull,congratulations on the construction of it.I did see a Mark 20 and a Mark 25 by the looks of it but I did not see a Mark 20H.That would have been green and gold.Thanks for sharing with us.Ron G
The red motor is a mark 25 power head on the mark20H lower unit.
hey wonderful job how long did take you to build and i was wondering do you think it would be possable to use a jetski engine and if so how do you think it would handle
Thanks for commenting. There are plenty of flat bottom wood boat plans that would work great with a jet ski motor. But a hydroplane hull will not work becasue it rides a cushion of air breaking the vacuum for the water intake for the jetski drive
